My Birthday

As many of you may know my birthday was last Friday. YAY!! I'm a big kid now. lol yea right. I had a wonderful birthday. Adam and I had to run MANY errands that day but, he was kind enough to take the day off for me. We had people over for a BBQ and Adam made a Spodie (it's a mix of fruits and liquors). We had probably twice as many people show up as expected but still had a great time. We talked a lot, played Taboo and listened to some comedy. I can't recall a better birthday than the one I had on Friday. Not everyone stuck around for photos. I have some great friends though. Everyone was having fun and no one caused any trouble. I couldn't have asked for anything more.

Adam too the photo of me in the green. That was also shot last fall. The other of me in the white is a camera phone shot. Not the greatest. Adam is camera shy otherwise I would have more of him.

These are our babies all grown up. Aren't they precious? We are very proud of them. I would put more pictures of Adam and I up here but I really don't have many of us together. They are pretty much all up. I will get more taken soon though. We will need more for holiday photos.

This is just a small sample of Adam's photography. He took this photo of me last fall at the Bothell Landing.

These are our new babies. BJ and RJ. They are now about 34 and 32 weeks old.

What we have been up to the last year.

Last October Adam was just starting a new quarter in school, it was my birthday and we moved all within a week. It was a very exciting and chaotic time for us. I must say we got settled into our new place very quick. It seemed that no time had passed and it was time for the holidays. Adam and I got to have our second Thanksgiving together. I love spending the holidays with him. We did the traditional baking the turkey and we made mashed potatoes and all of those holiday goodies. A week after Thanksgiving we got a very welcomed guest to our home... Adam's parents. I love having them over. The four of us had a great time at a Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert. That was a huge surprise from me. Then just our luck their last night here we got over 6 inches of snow. FYI it doesn't snow in Washington. They were able to make their flight home the next day though thank goodness. Then in December Adam and I flew home separately to Minnesota. We had a wonderful Christmas as usual. My grandfather did have a very scary accident but all turned out just fine. No brain damage, WHEW! January came and went. It was quite boring because by that time Fantasy Football was over. But we did bring home the Trophy. Adam resumed school after their holiday vacation. February and March I was job searching. I had finally found one and started in April. Around that same time on April 24th we got 2 beautiful additions to our family. Our Cats. We absolutely adore our little ones. Now we have a house full with 2 cats, a chinchilla and a bearded dragon. The restaurant I work for opened May 6th and was closely followed by Adam's Birthday. Then came June and that was a busy month for us both. Adam did his first family photo shoot which turned out fabulous. I gave him my assistance with equipment and posing advice. Not even 2 weeks later he was finished with school until the fall. His parents came out on the 29th and left on the 7th of July. Again it was a blast having them over. I got to see their land on the peninsula for the first time. Adam and Dad were busy building a bench and a cat post while Mom and I were beading and making curtains. I really enjoyed the trip that Mom and I took to Shipwreck Beads. Nothing really notable happened in July. On August 8 Adam had surgery on his hand. I was oh so very nervous. He healed well though and is now back to normal for the most part. A short time later Adam lost his aunt Mary to a tragic illness. She is in a better place now where there is no pain or suffering. May she rest in peace. But one good thing did come from this unfortunate event, Adam has a new family. I'm really glad that he is now able to talk to his cousins again and share stories. I know how much it meant to his whole family, especially Scott. And now we are back at that same time of there year... my birthday is just around the corner and Adam returns to school. Thank goodness we aren't moving this time. Now we are just busy with Fantasy Football and our jobs.
